About Khomotsong Care Centre

Mission

To provide effective and efficient care services for persons living with disability, to promote social inclusion, dignity, respect, well-being and skills development.

Vision

Enhance access, participation and inclusion of persons living with disabilities in economic activities.

History & purpose

The Centre began operations on 15 February 2016 and registered with the Department of Social Development on 11 May 2017. It was started by the Babile family to support persons living with disabilities in Magatle Village and surrounding areas.

  • Several toilets for staff, beneficiaries and visitors

Governance and management

Governed by a Board of Trustees (7 members): Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Vice-Secretary, Treasurer and two additional members plus Department of Social Development representation. The manager is Mrs M. W. Babile, an experienced nurse and educator with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Nursing Science.
